The purpose of this “administrative scribble” is purely to direct you to my latest post namely: In die lanfer van ons rou and to ask if this happens to you as well:
When I publish a post is reflected in the Reader at the time I started that post and not when I published it. I have many incomplete drafts, some older than a year, but if I complete that draft and publish it, it reflects at the date of a year ago and for all practical purposes cannot be seen in the Reader. I have to copy the draft and then save it as a new post and publish the new post, which is somewhat frustrating. My latest post I published a bit more than a hour ago but reflects in the Reader as published a 13 hours ago with quite few other posts published by my fellow bloggers since that (in a moment of haste I did not use my work aound). Is it a eccentricity of WordPress or does it feed on my eccentricities?

Kyk by https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/publishing-a-draft-to-site-doesnt-match-the-date?replies=13

Yup. Happened to me today. I started a post on my iPad several days ago and finished it on my PC today. When I published the post, it posted with the creation date, as a result it didn’t show up in today’s feed. Usually, if I start a post on the PC, as long as I edit it on the PC the day of posting, it gets posted correctly. I think the problem today happened because I switched between devices. I’m bummed that folks won’t see the post in their feed.

Thanks for the feedback. According to WordPress if you schedule a post for a spesific time it shouldn’t happen. But I haven’t tested it.

Hi! You don’t have to copy the post, you can change just the date and time. I’m not quite sure where you find this in the new ”enhanced” editor (😡 yes I hate that one), but in the old editor you can find it in the same box as ”save draft” and ”publish”, so it must be somewhere near that.
Besides that, I’m not particularly keen on the function of the reader myself. Especially not here on the app when I use my iPad. Which is very handy per se! Especially late at night and/or early in the morning while you’re still in bed and the iMac still is sleeping… like me now… 🤣
What about this tiny box with only two rows howing! How can I see what I’m doing!

I had not noticed this an it would annoy me as well. I usually set my posts to publish at a scheduled time to give me time to think on it and change if needed.

I think I should do that as well

I discovered that so I normally schedule posts that I started ages ago. Actually, it might be good to schedule all posts so they are posted at the same time every time. 🙂

Hi Anne food to see you, uh that should be good to see you have been watching Ratatouille 🙂 Yes I have been scheduling it since then and is working. About the same time remark. I have read that if people expect (and find) a post at a certain time and day you will have more regular readers. But I am not there yet. Thanks for scheduling in 🙂
