The (déjà vu) Last Post

Saturday I posted The Last Post in celebration of the last WordPress Photo Challenge.  Thus you should experience déjà vu for at least 2 reasons (there are more):

• A post with the name The Last Post have already been posted by me.
• Although these photos are not the same as those in The Last Post, it has been featured previously in the dozen posts they are taken from.
• As I have again limited myself to a dozen photos I could déjà vu again (but no).
• Yes I am struggling to get to grips with the future absence of these challenges thus please bare with me my while I post the final last post. Which is of course not my final post but my final The Last Post.

I agree déjà vu is confusing.

The defense lawyer argued that the 2 witnesses placed the accused at 2 different places at the same time and that constitutes a reasonable doubt and therefore the accused cannot be found guilty. ⇑This photo has quite a history. It became the cover for 2 e-books written in Afrikaans by a group of bloggers based on an imaginary crime which took  place here.  This group has countless reasons to experience déjà vu

If we look with the wrong perspective a Maltese is scaled into a mountain. Emotions sometimes (often?) make me see things out of context which can either give a false sense of security and lead to arrogance and incorrect decisions or make me realize the small part I play and lead to a feeling of helplessness. The last photo was taken in a “forest” of Proteas with Second waterfall now a very thin line. This photo is especially for an expat South African staying in Ireland AJ Vosse. While Ireland is certainly beautiful this is a different beautiful.  2nd waterfall – 2nd to none

A layered photo consisting of flowers, man and mountain. In the background the Gothic forms of Cathedral peak can be seen. This is about halfway to Victoria peak and still a climb as Victoria is higher than Cathedral Atop Victoria Peak – in South Africa!

Visually I was surprised and amazed by the vibrancy and colour of the forest but especially the mushrooms on the Groeneweide hiking trail, situated at Saasveld campus of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University outside George in the Garden Route of Western Cape South Africa. A time for exploring a fistful of chivalry

I then heard footsteps in the water (not the ideal place to hear footsteps if you are alone). Well that turned out to be this fellow, also cute but certainly more dangerous. It was amazing to find a porcupine in the mine. My mobile phone’s torch switches off  every 3 minutes. The porcupine came towards me and the light went out. I was a bit panicky for a few seconds. Porcupines can cause severe injuries with the  quills or pens (and we all know the pen is mightier than the sword). JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH

But lets end this on a happier note – certainly not dangerous. Camps Bay above Kasteelpoort – no injuries must be safe Dangerously late or is it a dangerous latte?

Now that I look at them again –  these girls have grown up into attractive ladies and they certainly have hour glass figures! I suppose nowadays boys can imagine these to be Transformers (trucks changing into robots) although transformers in their original context certainly plays a big role in the distribution of electricity.  The connectors keeping the lines equidistant certainly enhanced the lady’s appearance like jewelry  Electrifying order

Saturday I spoke to some of the engineers. While they were not shouting it off the bridges these guys were exited about a job well done. The road was re-opened Saturday 18:00, well ahead of schedule decreasing the impact of the congestion of traffic being relayed due to the closure. Staying in a country with challenges I was also proud to know there is a lot of productive effectiveness and good will still left in this country. Collating construction couture

Tina Schell an excellent photographer and blogger enriches her context with quotations which make you think. In the  déjà vu  and non-déjà vu  versions of The Last Post I also interspersed my photos with quotations, but Tina I apologize, I promised you that the next time I will use a more accomplished author to quote from. Alas I quoted from my own blogs again 😦  🙂 !! But hey if you are not prepared to quote from yourself how can you expect others to do that!
